Stressed

I have to apologize. I didn’t get my post completed. I played with my four grandchildren: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday instead. Their ages are 8, 6, 4 and 20 months. We made pancakes for supper, Christmas wreaths for hanging in their homes. We painted ornaments then glued pom-poms and sequins for the finishing touches. We made Christmas cut out cookies and drew straws to see who got to lick the beaters and bowl. We decorated their special tree and recalled where and when we found or made that special ornament. We begin our preparations early because we don’t all get to see each other at Christmas. Besides…it’s fun! (and exhausting)

It is 11:30 at night, my computer won’t cooperate, I keep getting interrupted and I am on hold with the IT people. My day starts in 5 hours. As I wait, looking through one of my journals, I come across a small paragraph I wrote about 5 years ago. It isn’t much but I would like to share with you what I wrote.

2 Samuel 22:29  You are my lamp, O LORD; The LORD turns my darkness into light

Sometimes life can get so overwhelming and stressful. If I find myself having a restless night, I get up and sit in a chair by the window. I talk to God, sometimes for hours. I might read scripture, I might just sit in the peaceful quiet dark and wait on Him.

He answers me and quiets my soul.

Darkness retreats when I come to my Father for guidance.

Thank you for understanding. I appreciate you and your taking your time to visit God Notions.

Peace and rest to you ~ Mia
