God Notions

My dearest friends,

When I began this blog, I was not expecting to become so connected to you. What a pleasant and heartwarming surprise. I was advised to start this blog because of a children’s book I am writing. My personal blog, “God Notions” has become more than I could have ever imagined. Isn’t that just how God works? When you think you are heading in one direction He opens a whole new path. 

What I am finding is I am not able to juggle my relationship with Christ Jesus, work, family, writing a book and a weekly blog. Honestly, I forgot that today was Tuesday, how sad is that!?! I have decided to cut back to posting bi-weekly. This way I can finish my book and still keep in touch with you.

This book I am writing is a story my Grandmomma told me and my sister when we were very young. We were spending the night at her house and afraid of the dark. She came in, got in bed with us and told us a story she made up. I want to record it before I forget.

Writing a children’s book is more difficult than I thought. Finding a children’s illustrator is even more difficult. I am trusting God will provide. I am hopeful, but if not, I will let it go. I believe God is in all details of our lives and if He is not in this one, I don’t want to waste my time.

Time, isn’t time the one thing that can be a friend or foe? That is what next week’s blog will be about, Time.
